Under 18s get into Louvre Abu Dhabi for free right now

The museum has safety precautions in place, too

Louvre Abu Dhabi reopened to the public among other cultural sights back in June.

If you want to visit you have to book in advance, but here’s an extra bit of good news, it’s free for anyone 18 and under.

All ticket holders will be given a specific visit time with their tickets allowing up to three hours inside the museum from the time of entry.

The Saadiyat Island venue is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6.30pm.

A limited number of visitors per hour will be permitted to ensure safe social distancing and all visitors must wear a face mask, gloves and undergo thermal testing upon entry.

Visitors can explore the museum’s permanent collection and the Furusiyya: the art of Chivalry between East and West exhibition, which has been extended until October 18.

Other sites open for visitors include Qasr Al Hosn and the Cultural Foundation in Abu Dhabi and the outdoor areas of Qasr Al Muwaiji, Al Jahili Fort, Al Ain Place Museum and Al Ain Oasis in Al Ain.

If you’re staying home, you can also check out the kids’ activities on Louvre’s website here.
