Tickets for Jimmy Carr’s Dubai gig at Dubai World Trade Centre are now on sale.
The British comedian and star of TV show 8 Out of 10 Cats will perform his first gig in Dubai on Thursday August 13 and Friday August 14, with tickets priced from Dhs195 per person.

Part of DXBLaughs, produced by Done Events, the gigs will see Carr bring his Terribly Funny tour to the UAE as part of the 2020 edition of Dubai Summer Surprises – the citywide shopping and entertainment festival now in its 23rd year.
Renowned for his dark humour as much as his distinctive laugh, the comic has promised “three laughs a minute, minimum” and last week told Time Out he was hugely excited to perform in the city.
“I’ve kind of got that back-to-school excitement. I get to go and do a gig. Brilliant!
“It feels as well for me like a little bit of a holiday. I’ve been to Dubai before, but the thing about Dubai is, if you say you’ve been there, if it was more than five years ago, you haven’t been there. They go, ‘no-no, we’ve rebuilt all of that’.”
Both shows will follow the authorities’ latest guidelines on social distancing and precautionary safety measures.
“If you wish to enjoy Jimmy with your friends and family, buy your tickets together,” says Girish Bhat, Done Events’ managing director.
“We are taking health and safety extremely important at these shows and various measures will be in place throughout the ticket holders’ experience including group seating in all sections”.
Safety measures at the venue will include temperature checks on entry, masks worn in public areas at all times (washrooms, queuing), socially distanced queuing for entry and food and beverage purchase, hand sanitiser available throughout, only e-tickets to be presented by holder on their phones (no physical tickets), contactless payment for food and drinks, allocated seating and extensive cleaning between shows.
