Dubai’s Emirates Airline is to resume flights to Birmingham, Cebu and Houston

The airline now flies to 74 destinations

Dubai’s Emirates Airline is is restarting flights to destinations including to Birmingham, Cebu and Houston.

Flights from Dubai Airport to Cebu will resume on August 20. Flights to Houston restart on August 23, and journeys to Birmingham will start again on September 1.

Emirates’ flights to Birmingham will operate four times week, while Cebu flights will be twice weekly. Both flights are on the Emirates Boeing 777-300ER.

Emirates’ flights between Dubai and Houston will operate three times a week, aboard a Emirates Boeing 777-200LR aircraft.

These new flights bring the airline’s network to 74 destinations, offering travellers convenient connections between the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas through its Dubai hub.

This month the airline has already resumed flights to destinations including the Seychelles, Stockholm, Prague and Sao Paulo. Later this weekend flights will resume to Boston (August 15).

Emirates has strict safety measures and travel restrictions also remain in place. Travellers will only be accepted on flights if they comply with the eligibility and entry criteria requirements of their destination countries.

COVID-19 PCR tests are mandatory for all inbound and transit passengers arriving to Dubai (and the UAE), including UAE citizens, residents and tourists, irrespective of the country they are coming from. Meanwhile passengers travelling to select destinations will be required to take PCR test before travel.

Emirates has also committed to cover COVID-19 related medical expenses, free of cost, should passengers be diagnosed with COVID-19 during their travel while they are away from home.

This cover is immediately effective for customers flying on Emirates until October 31 2020 and is valid for 31 days from the moment they fly the first sector of their journey.
