Watch the virtual auditions for the 16th member, hosted in Dubai

The hunt for the next member for the world’s first global pop group is narrowing down, and the next superstar is somewhere in the MENA region.

Superstar group Now United is set to select its all-new band member this September, with the final leg taking place via virtual auditions hosted in Dubai.

Supported by Pepsi, the group started their hunt for their newest member back in November, 2019, and have seen thousands of potential candidates.

Now, the search has narrowed down to 13 candidates from nice countries across the Middle East and North Africa.

Over the next week, fans can watch Now United group members, along with top choreographer Kyle Hanagami, renowned casting director Kerrie Mailey and group creator Simon Fuller find their next member.

It’s a big deal, as Now United, which features 15 young artists from 15 different countries around the world, has racked up a whopping one billion views on their YouTube channel, including more than 11 million views on their latest song, Feel It Now.

“We’ve had an amazing response and have seen remarkable quality and diversity in the talent across the Middle East and North Africa,” says group creator Simon Fuller.

“We are looking for someone extraordinary, with undeniable talent, passion and a wonderful positive spirit.

They should be an inspiration to our fans all over the world and represent this incredible region with pride and joy. I can’t wait to see who the next member will be.”

Now United’s Canadian member Josh Beauchamp added: “I remember the excitement I felt about being given the chance by Simon to be a part of Now United, and I know each of the amazing singers and dancers from across the region will be feeling the same right now.”
