Amazing new resort on Saadiyat Island

Rotana will have seven places to eat, a spa and a kids’ club

There’s a new luxury resort in Abu Dhabi and it looks set to cause quite a stir.

Saadiyat Rotana Resort & Villas is set for a soft opening at the end of March, 2018, with the aim to be fully operational by the end of summer.

The property, on Saadiyat Island, looks every inch the perfect fit for its surroundings, and promises to be another great addition alongside its ultra-luxury neighbours The St. Regis Saadiyat island Resort and Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi.

While the images we have at the moment show the rooms and lobby, they don’t fully show off the stunning pool and beach resort to its best.

Anyone visiting in the first couple of months can expect Italian venue Si Ristorante Italiano & Bar, all-day-dining spot Sim Sim, Sama Lobby Lounge and the pool bar to be open for business.

Surf and turf restaurant, with superb rooftop terrace, Turtle bay will follow, and later, the island’s first proper pub, Hamilton’s Gastropub will bring something new to the Saadiyat.

The hotel is four-storeys high and has villas lining the beachfront, a protected area due to the endangered turtles that inhabit it.

Families staying in the hotel will be able to take advantage of Aladdin’s Cave, a kids club that has its own lazy river and loads more for youngsters to enjoy.

The hotel will also have a spa, gym, ballrooms and conference rooms.
