October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and events are held across the UAE to raise awareness and funds.
Helping to raise awareness and encourage residents to lead active lifestyles, one of Abu Dhabi’s biggest shopping destinations is set to host a fitness event.
Yas Mall, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Sports Council is hosting the Pink Run on Friday October 16.
The indoor running competition is open to people of all abilities and features distances including 2.5km, 5km and 10km.
All registered runners can take on their distance of choice running through the mall and will receive a finisher’s medal once they cross the finish line.
Running bibs are available for collection for registered participants from Zayed Sports City’s Tennis Centre ticket office prior to the event.
Participation costs Dhs150 per person.
Start times will be staggered for the event to reduce crowding and ensure safety with a maximum of 555 people permitted to take part.
Children under the age of 12 and those over the age of 60 are not able to take part.
