Qasr Al Watan Abu Dhabi announces UAE National Day celebrations

Celebrate the day at the Presidential Palace

Qasr Al Watan has quickly become one of Abu Dhabi’s most visited cultural attractions.

The Presidential Palace, which was named as one of the best landmarks in the world last year, opened to the public in 2019.

Thousands of residents and tourists have visited the site to marvel at the building made of white granite and limestone façade, the 149,000 unique pieces of silver, crystal and china used in the Presidential Banquet, the huge 37 metre dome and chandelier made with 350,000 pieces of crystal.

Ahead of UAE National Day, the popular attraction has announced celebrations to mark the UAE’ 49th birthday.

Residents are invited to visit the palace over the public holiday to experience a sound and light show.

On December 1 and 2, the UAE flag will be projected onto the façade at 7.15pm and the national anthem will be played before a special showing followed by the Palace in Motion light and sound show at 7.30pm.

Guests who visit the palace during the day from December 1 to 5 will be allowed to re-enter in the evening to watch the show.

The regular daily light and sound shows will resume as normal from December 3.

Qasr Al Watan is open Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am to 6pm and Thursday to Saturday from noon to 7.30pm.

We can’t wait to see the show.
