Basement Jaxx is coming to Dubai at new Wanderlust brunch

Dubai’s favourite party Wanderlust Brunch is back and bolder than ever with a festival feel and a line-up of international DJ acts.

Time Out can exclusively reveal that the hugely popular brunch is moving into the new car park venue at the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai for three dates only – Saturday October 29, Saturday November 12 and Saturday November 26.

The first event on Saturday October 29 will see Basement Jaxx headling with a house music DJ set. The Brit award-winning artists will be playing all their hits including Red Alert, Do Your Thing and Good Luck.

Starting at 1pm, the brunch will run until 4pm, when the after party will start. Local DJs will warm up throughout the day, before the Where’s Your Head At? DJ duo Basement Jaxx play their DJ set during the after-party.

Holding up to 2,000 people, the car park venue that sits beneath the world’s tallest five-star hotel has received a custom fit-out.

A hotel known for its foodie offering, brunch-goers will find food stalls from the hotel’s award-winning restaurants. These will include an Izakaya sushi bar, a Tong Thai curry bar, a Lush Burger stall, a Rang Mahal stand and a seven-metre cheese zone for cheese lovers. There will also be a Candyland dessert station complete with a ‘doughnut wall of fame’.

For drinks, guests will find their favourite adult beverage brands hosting stands at the festival-like brunch.

The brunch cost Dhs695 and includes premium drinks and access to the after-party. Those planning to attend all three special festival editions of Wanderlust Brunch (happening on Saturday October 29, Saturday November 12 and Saturday November 26) can purchase a season pass for Dhs1,499.

The regular Wanderlust brunch will continue as normal on the 5th floor, aside from these dates where the special event will be held Underground.

While the next headline acts are yet to be confirmed, they will be international names. Local DJs on the line-up so far are city favourite Natalie Brogan, Andy Swift, and Wanderlust’s Resident DJ Adam J.

With Wanderlust Brunch already having a huge following in the city, and the announcement of international acts, we’re predicting this to get busy – so get your tickets quick.
