GCC residents can now apply for a Saudi Arabia e-visa while permanent residents of the UK, US and EU residents can have easier travel to the Kingdom thanks to changes to the Visa on Arrival scheme.

The Ministry of Tourism officially announced the new Saudi Arabia tourist visa changes on Thursday September 1.

GCC residents, listen up: You can now apply for a new Saudi Arabia tourist e-visa through Visit Saudi’s online portal.

Furthermore, the new Saudi Arabia tourist protocols permit residents from the United Kingdom, the United States and the European Union to apply for a Visa on Arrival to Saudi Arabia provided they have a valid passport.

Have a valid tourist or business visa for the the UK, US or Schengen zone countries? You can apply for a Visa on Arrival in Saudi Arabia, provided that the other visa has been used at least once to enter the issuing country.

Previously, those wanting to travel to the Kingdom would have likely had to visit the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in their home countries before coming to the Kingdom. The new steps streamline the process.

The new Saudi Arabia tourist visa and GCC e-visa changes have been implemented as part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals.
