Netflix has released a brand-new trailer for its upcoming family film, We Can be Heroes, and it looks good.
Directed by the mastermind behind the brilliant Spy Kids franchise, Robert Rodriguez, the new film will be out on televisions across the UAE from December 25, just in time for Christmas.
So once the presents are all opened and you need to undo a few buttons on the trousers after over-indulging in turkey, you can watch a group of kids with attitude, who also happen to be the offspring of the world’s superheroes, save the world.
When alien invaders kidnap their superhero parents, the kids are whisked away to a government safe house.
But sassy tween Missy Moreno will stop at nothing to rescue her superhero dad so she teams up with the rest of the superkids to escape their mysterious government babysitter, Ms. Granada, played by Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
They all have various individual powers – from elasticity to time control to predicting the future – which they need to utilise as a team in order to stand any chance against the creatures from outer space.
The stellar cast includes YaYa Gosselin, Pedro Pascal and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Plus nineties hearthrob, Christian Slater (looking a bit more appealing now, mums?)
