Are you ready to have some fun in Abu Dhabi? Well strap in because the Abu Dhabi Calendar has just been unveiled and there’s loads of exciting events about to arrive in the capital.
The Department of Culture & Tourism has today announced the full Abu Dhabi Calendar which is full of fun and thrilling events happening across family, music, sports, leisure and culture.
The highly anticipated Abu Dhabi Calendar will now span over 180 days and features a whole host of international artists, exhilarating sporting and e-sports action, immersive cultural events, live interactive family shows, crowd-pleasing concerts and unmissable theatre, opera and dance performances.

The Abu Dhabi Calendar includes live concerts by Sting, Andrea Bocelli and A.R. Rahman, as well as the first ever NBA Abu Dhabi Games, the return of Abu Dhabi Showdown Week, headlined by UFC 280: Oliveira vs Makhachev, Disney’s The Lion King, and IIFA Awards Abu Dhabi 2023.
And, for the first time ever, Wireless Festival will be making its Abu Dhabi debut on March 4, 2023, and bringing with it some of the most exciting international artists.
“Abu Dhabi Calendar has an incredible lineup of events to thrill and excite our residents and visitors this season,” said H.E. Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, director general for Tourism at DCT Abu Dhabi. “We’re looking forward to sharing Abu Dhabi with the world by playing host to spectacular musical acts and action-packed global sports spectacles that will attract fans and families from across the globe. It’s a jam-packed and incredibly diverse agenda of events which promises to connect friends, excite youth and unite families for unforgettable moments they can enjoy at their own pace.”
Other events include Amplified Music Festival, a three-day musical event between November 11 and 13.
Club Social Festival promises a weekend full of good music as it sees Liam Gallagher, Clean Bandit and the Kaiser Chiefs arrive on October 28 to October 30.
On the culture train, the capital will see Abu Dhabi Art 2022 return for another year from November 16 to November 20, bringing together local and international galleries, alongside exhibitions, artist commissions and installations.
Foodies will rejoice to know that Abu Dhabi Culinary Season will be back in the capital from October 8 to December 8, showcasing all of the city’s cafés and restaurants, featuring a diverse schedule of culinary experiences, range of cuisines, styles and great foodie deals.
The Abu Dhabi Calendar also has loads on for the kiddos. Blippi The Musical is bringing an energetic, live musical show for young children and families between 18 and 19 February at Etihad Arena. Disney on Ice is also returning to Etihad Arena between October 12 and October 16 for an incredible, family-friendly show.

There will also be World Cup fever in Abu Dhabi as venues begin to open their Fan Zones. Yas Links in Abu Dhabi will host the capital’s flagship World Cup Fan Zone from November 20 to December 18, offering fans a high energy viewing experience, loads of dining options, and a huge e-gaming zone.
Fans of Marvel and DC will be happy to know that the Abu Dhabi Calendar also includes the return of Comic Con 2023, which will be arriving in March 2023 as the region’s largest pop-culture festival. Get your costumes ready, stat.
There are some huge acts making their way to Abu Dhabi, but no announcements have yet been made. Stay tuned for more updates on who will be coming to the capital.
