Dubai Shopping Festival launches TikTok challenge

Are you up for the challenge?

Got moves? Well, get ready to show them off.

The 26th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival is in full swing, bringing with it massive sales, concerts, family-friendly fun and a whole load more.

Aiming to spread some happiness across the UAE and show the world that Dubai truly is the happiest place there is, Dubai Shopping Festival has created an original song and dance dedicated to our wonderful city: Ya Salam Ya Dubai.

Translating to “greetings Dubai”, the song and dance has been choreographed to reflect the spirit of the city, and guess what? You’re invited to get involved in the movement with a fun TikTok challenge.

To join the Ya Salam Ya Dubai challenge, here’s what you need to do:

• Watch the video below for a dance tutorial from the pros:

• Record a video of yourself out and about in Dubai, performing the Ya Salam Ya Dubai choreography.

• Make sure to follow all social distancing guidelines and wear a mask if you’re more than one person (families don’t need to wear masks if they are filming their video indoors).

• Tag friends, family, neighbours, work mates, your boss – anyone you want, and invite them to join the city-wide challenge.

• If you don’t have a TikTok account, you can post your moves on Instagram and make sure to use the hashtags #DiscoverDubai, #DSFsocial, #YaSalamYaDubai and #MyDSF.

Need more of an incentive to get your dancing shoes on? Here’s one: there’s a whopping Dhs30,000 worth of prizes up for grabs.

Yalla, Dubai – we’re ready to get grooving, are you?
