Travellers from the UK to Dubai need a negative COVID-19 test before departure

Travel and testing requirements between the UK and UAE have changed

Travel and testing requirements between the UAE and the UK have changed.

From 8am on Saturday January 16, all travellers arriving in Dubai from England will require a negative PCR test before departure.

A negative test from the past 96 hours will have to be presented on arrival in Dubai for all passengers traveling from or through England to Dubai.

UAE residents travelling to Dubai from or through England have the option to present a test before departure or to be tested on arrival in Dubai.

In addition, travellers arriving in England after 4am on Monday January 18 will be required to present a negative COVID-19 test result before departure.

For Scotland, from 4am on Friday January 15, all travellers arriving in the country will also require a negative COVID-19 result.

Those who fail to produce a negative COVID-19 test result from January 18 can be fined £500 (approximately Dhs2,500).

Al travellers returning to England and Scotland will also have to self-isolate from the date of arrival.
