New registration method for UAE Pass

Now you can register on the app using facial recognition

It’s now even easier to use the national identity programme UAE Pass, thanks to its new facial recognition software.

Here’s the latest on how to register for UAE Pass, the app that makes using government services in Abu Dhabi even easier.

The face verification registration method means that you no longer need to remember lists of pesky passwords to use services across the UAE.

UAE Pass enables UAE residents to access different services across many sectors with password-less sign in.

Currently, it enables all registered individuals to access more than 6000 government, semi-government and private sector entities’ services through their services and apps.

You just need your smartphone to authenticate your ID to access service providers.

You can also use UAE Pass to request official documents from entities and share and sign documents digitally.

Don’t have the UAE Pass? Here’s how to get access:

When you download the UAE Pass app, available on Google Play and the App Store, for the first time, make sure you have your Emirates ID to hand.

Then follow this quick guide.

1.Scan the back of your Emirates ID, then enter your mobile number and email address when requested.

2.You will receive a verification code to each and a prompt to enter these. Once done, you are verified and will be asked to create a four-digit PIN.

3.The final step is the very fancy encrypted 3D face scan. Just hold your phone close to your face and follow the instructions.

4.For added security, you will need to create a password to be able to sign documents.

What if I can’t set up UAE Pass on my phone?

If you don’t have access to a smart phone, you can also verify your account by visiting the nearest UAE Pass kiosk with your Emirates ID.

There are more than 300 kiosks across the UAE.
