Expo 2020 Dubai launches free collection of kid-friendly stories

Helping little ones explore new cultures and recognise common values

To celebrate International Day of Education (Sunday January 24), Expo 2020 Dubai, better known as the world’s greatest show, has launched the second edition of ‘Children’s Tales from Around the World’.

‘Children’s Tales from Around the World’ is a collection of both traditional children’s stories and folktales that celebrate the wonders of our planet and the human spirit.

Adding to the original 24 stories from the first edition that launched in September 2020, nine special stories have been carefully selected and some even include drawings by schoolchildren from all over the world.

“We are thrilled to be expanding this unique collection of evocative tales which, by capturing a myriad of storytelling cultures, helps children from around the world discover what makes us different while, crucially, celebrating the values that we share in a fun and accessible way,” said Danielle Green, senior manager, products, director general office of Expo 2020 Dubai.

Inspired by Expo 2020 Dubai’s commitment to its theme of “connecting minds and creating the future”, the collection of stories are now available for free download via the Expo School Programme website, Kobo and Apple Books.

The stories, which feature words and phrases from 30 plus languages, have been chosen to help little ones between the ages of five and 12 years old explore new cultures, recognise common values, and develop a love of reading.

And that, we can get on board with.
