Abu Dhabi government staff return to remote working

Weekly PCR tests are also compulsory for staff

Abu Dhabi government and semi-government entities have announced new safety measures for employees.

All Abu Dhabi Government and semi-government employees who can work remotely have been given permission to start working remotely in Abu Dhabi.

The Department of Government Support has announced that ‘all jobs that can be delivered fully from outside the workplace’ can work from home.

In addition, those over the age of 60, people of determination and those with chronic illness can also begin working remotely.

The capacity of Abu Dhabi government and semi-government workplaces has also been reduced to 30 percent from Sunday February 7.

In addition, all employees must get a compulsory PCR test every week.

Volunteers in the vaccine clinical trials and those who are vaccinated as part of the National Vaccination Programme who have active icons on the Al Hosn app will be exempt from the tests.7

The new measures are ‘to protect the health of employees and their families and bolster preventative measures implemented in the emirate’.
