Wizz Air Abu Dhabi launches flights to Egypt for under Dhs200

Set course for Alexandria from the end of February

We can’t be the only ones looking forward to travelling regularly again in the future, and if you’re anything like us, your itinerary is already fully mapped out (in your head, at least).

While travelling has taken a backseat in recent times, travel is on the horizon and more and more flights are being launched to connect the UAE to the rest of the world.

Having successfully launched in the UAE capital, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has announced that new flights connecting the city to Africa are set to launch.

From Monday February 22 flights between Abu Dhabi and Alexandria, Egypt are set to take off.

Fares connecting the two cities will start from Dhs179 for a one-way flight and tickets are already on sale.

Flights will connect the two cities on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

“Alexandria is an exciting destination steeped in history located on Mediterranean waters,” said Kees Van Schaick, managing director of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi.

“The UAE and Egypt provide a popular travel corridor for residents and tourists in the region, and we are committed to providing options that are more viable and affordable for travellers.”

Flights connecting Abu Dhabi to Athens, Greece have already been launched with more routes set to be announced in the coming weeks.
