Air Arabia Flights to resume between Sharjah and Sri Lanka

Countries connected once again

New flights have been announced connecting the UAE and Sri Lanka.

Low-cost airline Air Arabia has announced that flights connecting Sharjah to Colombo will resume next month connecting the UAE to the Sri Lankan capital.

Tickets are already on sale for the flights which will resume from Tuesday March 2.

Flights between the two countries will depart Tuesdays and Fridays for the month of with more dates and dates set to be available in the coming months.

Fares start from Dhs758 for a one way flight from Sharjah to Sri Lanka.

Recently UAE’s Air Arabia was ranked in the top ten safest low-cost airlines in 2021 by airlineratings.com.

The airline, which operates out of Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, was named in the top ten, which is not ranked but instead listed alphabetically.

Other airlines in the top ten include Allegiant (America), easyJet (UK), Frontier (US), Jetstar Group (Australia), JetBlue (US), Ryanair (Ireland), VietJet (Vietnam), WestJet (Canada) and Wizz (Hungary).

Air Arabia has also recently resumed flights connecting the UAE to Doha, Qatar.

Diplomatic ties between the two countries were restored in January at the 41st Summit of the GCC Supreme Council.

Flights connecting the UAE and Qatar depart daily from Sharjah at 4.10pm, leaving Doha in the other direction at 5.10pm, local time.
