Seven films for your toddler to watch in Muscat

Because sometimes you just need a break

Yes, we know that sticking your tiny tot in front of the television for hours on end does not constitute great parenting, but sometime you need (and really, really deserve) a break, even just a hot cup of tea.

The best kids’ movies for one- to three-year-olds can’t be too boring, or long, or scary, or they’ll ask you to turn them off. They have to be just right and that is what these films are.

Curious George (2006)

George is super cute, but always seems to land himself in tricky situation than end up getting hime in trouble. He has a good heart though. The man in the yellow hat is voice by none other than Will Ferrell, so mums and dads should find something to enjoy in the film too.

Paw Patrol: Ready, Race, Rescue! (2019)

This movie is short — under and hour — which means it lasts about as long as a toddler’s attention span. It follows the hero pups as they team up with race car drivers for the Adventure Bay 500.

Ponyo (2008)

There’s some peril in this movie, which is loosely based on The Little Mermaid, but if the kids are alright with a little scariness, this is worth it for the beautiful animation and sweet story.

In this movie, Elmo’s lovey accidentally gets thrown away, and when he goes to retrieve it, he gets transported to Grouchland. Toddlers can’t get enough of Elmo.
