The UAE is an amazing country to go camping and feel the sand between your toes and watch the stars light up the night’s sky.
Luckily, for those of us who aren’t into the rough and tumble of sleeping outdoors in a tent there are also loads of great glamping destinations too where you can enjoy all the spoils of camping in far more comfort.
Now there’s another cool destination where you can spend the night outdoors in comfort opening in the UAE.
Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has announced that Moon Retreat is set to welcome guests by the end of March.
Located in the Mleiha region of Sharjah, guests will also be able to explore the area, which is a UNESCO-nominated World Heritage Site home to Bronze Age tombs and pre-Islamic forts.
Guests booking in to Moon Retreat can choose from ten single bed domes, four family tents and two single bed tents.
Each unit is self-sufficient and features all amenities you could require for an overnight stay including cooking facilities and bathrooms.
Most of the tents also feature private pools.
Guests are able to pre-book meals to grill on their own barbecues and visit communal areas including bonfires and barbecue areas as well as enjoying activities including stargazing and hiking in the surrounding hills.
