UAE Vine Festival to lay on 30 interactive experiences

All things grape and good

You may have heard it through the grapevine, but now we can confirm a nationwide celebration of grape is coming to the UAE.

Following the sold-out success of the inaugural Dubai Vine Festival, The Tasting Class has announced the first countrywide salute to all things grape and good – the UAE Vine Festival.

Bottled up in the festival is a series of mini-dining experiences that showcase the very best food, grape (obviously) and hospitality from across the land.

Among the experiences announced so far are a tasting tour of Souk Madinat Jumeirah, an exploration of New World grape at Hillhouse Brasserie, interactive barbecue and grape tasting experience with Hattam Mattar – the world’s first Arab pitmaster – and Blind Tasting Challenges at The Pangolin, Dubai, and at the Hilton Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

More than 30 sessions are expected to run across the three-week festival.

CEO of organiser The Tasting Class, Lindsay Trivers, said: “The Tasting Class is always striving to showcase the amazing culinary scene in the UAE.

“We wanted to create a platform that allowed us to continue to do that but, more importantly for us, show how grape can not only complement but enhance the dining experience.

“The COVID situation inspired us to reimagine how a festival might work in this environment and while the concept differs from a traditional festival, it opens up a number of experiences where people can try different grape combinations.”

More venues and experiences are being added all the time, so keep close to Time Out for the latest updates.
