Comedian Nemr to perform during Dubai Comedy Festival

Lebanese-American comic will take the stage on May 20

Dubai Comedy Festival has announced the first name on its line-up, in the shape of Lebanese-American comedian Nemr.

Born Nemr Abou Nassar, the comic has toured around the world, including a recent stop in Dubai in October 2020 (he’s no stranger), and in 2021 will pitch up at Dubai World Trade Centre on Thursday May 20.

Nemr’s “Love Isn’t the Answer” tour ran for two years, and the Sheikh Rashid Hall gig will see the comic perform his “The Future is NOW” show.

On Thursday May 20, tickets to the Dubai World Trade Centre show start from Dhs150 for silver, moving up to Dhs250 for gold, Dhs350 for platinum and Dhs450 for VIP, with doors opening at 9pm and the show kicking off at 9.30pm.

As always in Dubai, the show will follow all social distancing guidelines set out by the authorities, and visitors should too.

The UAE’s The Laughter Factory is also part of Dubai Comedy Festival 2021, and its “Downright Nasty” Tour will see three comedians from around the world perform at locations across Dubai from Thursday May 13 to Friday May 21.

The Laughter Factory’s May line-up includes Italian-American bad boy Agnostino Zoida, Greek storyteller George Zach and energetic Estonian Ari Matti Mustonen.

Dubai Comedy Festival runs from Thursday May 13 to Saturday 22, with more gigs set to be announced soon. Stay close to Time Out for the skinny.
