Love camping but can’t go a weekend without modern-day luxuries?
Ireland-based hospitality group Kerten has announced that two eco-friendly glamping resorts are set to open in the UAE’s northern emirate, Ras Al Khaimah.
One of the glamping resorts will be situated in the mountainous area of Jebel Jais while the second is set to open among the sandy dunes of Al Sawan.
With stunning mountain views and easy access to some of Ras Al Khaimah’s best adrenaline-fuelled activities, Cloud7 Camp Jebel Jais will boast 30 lodges made using sustainable materials, including locally-found stones while the Al Sawan glamping resort will be home to 60 desert lodges, giving campers the chance to experience the local agriculture whilst exploring the beautifully sandy surroundings.
And not only will both glamping resorts be kitted out with luxe amenities, but they’re also set to be eco-friendly, too.
In line with Kerten’s eco-focused ethos, both the glamping resorts are being created with key pillars in mind: to support the local community, to contribute to the growth of eco-tourism here in the UAE, sustainable hospitality, environmental responsibility, and to create a destination that offers a cultural experience in an exclusive environment.
“We are proud to announce our unique projects, Cloud7 Camp Jebel Jais and Cloud7 Camp Al Sawan, which will empower the local community, provide city getaways in two exotic destinations, and showcase visitors a glimpse into authentic Emirati hospitality and Bedouin heritage,” said Younis Al Dawoodi, General Manager of Kerten Hospitality’s Glamping Projects.
