Disney on Ice is returning to Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena

Everything you need to know about the ice show

Are you looking for something fun to do with your little ones or a creative date night idea for your sweetheart? Maybe you’re just a die-hard fan of Mickey and Minnie.

Either way, you don’t want to miss out on Disney on Ice, coming to Yas Island later this year.

The show, Find Your Hero, will feature at Etihad Arena from Thursday September 2 to Saturday September 11 this year. Show times are at 7.30pm on Thursdays, and 10am, 3pm and 7.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

The event might be the back-to-school motivation your little one needs after a long summer of splashing in pools and hanging out around Abu Dhabi.

Beloved characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy will be gliding across the ice and flying through the air to make you ooh and ahh.

The show also includes storytelling performances from classic Disney movies that we love to watch again and again.

‘Let it go’ and have an adventure with Anna, Elsa and Olaf as they slide through a snowy landscape.

Then watch as Moana embarks on an action-packed voyage into uncharted territory with the demigod Maui to save her island; dive under the sea with Sebastian and Ariel for an 80s-inspired mashup.

Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Belle and the Beast are all rumoured to be attending, too.

Ali Al Shaiba, executive director of tourism and marketing at DCT Abu Dhabi said: “Our partners have outdone themselves in the planning process, ensuring that on-ground staff, families, and other guests are safeguarded from health and safety risks, without compromising on the exhilarating experience provided by Disney on Ice.”
