GCC’s largest digital art centre to open in Dubai

Have you ever loved a painting so much you wish you could step inside it?

Infinity Des Lumières is making that dream a reality. Now you can step inside famous artworks such as Van Gogh’s Starry Night, Danny Rose Studio’s Images of the Floating World, and Thomas Vanz’s digital creation: Verse. Sounds like every art lover’s dream, and then some.

Infinity Des Lumières will be the largest digital art centre in the GCC, and is opening Thursday July 1 for what looks like an unforgettable multi-sensory journey. Spread over 2,700 square metres, the centre has created a technology-driven artistic platform using 130 projectors, 58 speakers, and 3,000 HD digital moving images.

The centre is located at The Dubai Mall, on level two. It’s open from Sunday to Wednesday from 10am to 9pm and from Thursday to Saturday from 10am to 11pm. The show starts every half hour, and it takes approximately one hour and 15 minutes to experience. Adult tickets are Dhs125, and children’s tickets are Dhs75 for children 13 and younger, infants three and under enter for free.

Visitors will experience Van Gogh’s most famous paintings in a brand new way through digital technology that brings vibrant colours, delicate shapes, and music together to immerse you in the work. In the Dreamed Japan exhibit you step into 19th century Japan, blending Hokusai’s portraits with landscapes and seascapes. Verse brings music and art together, blending images by Thomas Vanz and an orchestral piece composed by Jonathan Fitas.
