Battered fish sandwich with salted lemon mayonnaise from folly Workshop

Battered fish, but make it fancy (and folly) and whack it in a soft and floury bap. If you’re missing a taste of Blighty, folly Workshop’s battered fish sarnie will sort you out.

Chinese-style crispy salt and pepper prawns from Long Teng

This Time Out Dubai-award-winning restaurant specialises in plating up fruits of the sea Chinese-style, and the crispy salt and pepper prawns are a winning dish to start your Long Teng journey off with. The plump prawns are crispy and golden, and perfect for sharing with your fellow prawn-loving mates.

Coconut tempura prawns from Vietnamese Foodies

Coated in a crunchy and coconuty tempura batter, these hefty prawns are best enjoyed in as much sweet chilli sauce as they can handle.

Fried rice with seafood from Long Teng

Simple fried rice, this is not. Packed with finely chopped vegetables, egg, prawns, and petite scallops, the rice is filled with texture and sits on just the right side of that satisfyingly buttery fried flavour. Long Teng’s signature fried rice is a signature for a reason.

Fritto Misto from Fulvio’s Italian

There’s a lot to love about Fulvio’s (new!) sublime and lightly coated fritto misto. Beautifully golden, the calamari, fish, and shrimp are delicately fried while the accompanying arrabbiata sauce is equally impressive. Seconds for one, anyone?

Garlic butter prawns from Al Fanar

When it comes to whipping up super seafood, the guys over at Al Fanar know their stuff. And when it comes to eating super seafood, we here at Time Out know our stuff – and Al Fanar’s garlic butter prawns are a team fave. Slathered in a garlicky butter sauce, the prawns are grilled to perfection and come with the choice of rice, garlicky baguette, or fries but take our advice and go for the baguette – garlic on garlic is always a winner (though your Market mates may disagree).

Habibti bao from BB Social Dining

We’ve long waxed lyrical about BB Social Dining and its beautiful baos, but it’s the Habibti bao that’s well and truly stolen our hearts. Not only is it a complete drool-fest, but it will also do wonders for your Insta feed – just look at it. The steamed and toasted bao bun is packed with soft shell crab, watercress, and a tangy wasabi dressing and after your first bite, you’ll already be planning your next Market visit just to satiate your bao cravings.

King prawn butty from Nightjar

Okay, so we know you’re probably here for the exceptional nitro cold brew (to wash back a slice of custard pie, no doubt) but don’t leave without trying the belly-busting king prawn butty. Sandwiched between fluffy white bread, baby gem lettuce, and elevated with spicy chilli mayonnaise, this is as scrummy as a sarnie gets.

Polpo alla brace from Fulvio’s Italian

This elegant and vibrant dish is as tasty as it is photogenic. Grilled to perfection, the octopus is served alongside olives, pesto, and creamy potatoes. Deliziosa.

Salmon kushiyaki from Reif

Glazed in teriyaki and served with jalapeño miso and crispy rice, these glistening salmon skewers are the best in the biz. (But what else would you expect from kushiyaki-expert chef Reif Othman?)

Sea bass machboos from Al Fanar

For traditional Emirati cuisine, Al Fanar is a go-to in the city so if you’re looking for tasty, authentic food showcasing the UAE’s rich history, Al Fanar’s moreish machboos is a good place to start. Sautéed sea bass with slow-cooked rice, vibrantly spiced rice with lemon, tamarind, peppers, and mixed spices – this family recipe has been passed down through generations and is a Market crowd-pleaser.

Sea bream ceviche from BB Social Dining

For something light and fresh, BB’s sea bream ceviche is a sure-fire hit. Light and tangy, the delicate sea bream is marinated with onions, cucumber, and a zingy citrus dressing. A refreshing way to start your culinary journey around the Market.

Seafood pho from Vietnamese Foodies

Don’t even think about leaving the Market before slurping your way through a warming bowl of Vietnamese Foodies’ phenomenal pho. The silky 14-hour simmered broth is delicious (you won’t leave a drop), laced with spices, crammed full of super-fresh seafood and vegetables, and lifted by fragrant Vietnamese herbs, zesty lime, and a kick of chilli.

Uramaki rolls from Reif

For a helping of raw fish at Time Out Market Dubai, Reif and its exquisite uramaki rolls is where it’s at. Check out the salmon with citrus tenkatsu and teriyaki mayonnaise, crab with crispy rice, nori powder and yuzu koshu, or the crispy ebi tempura with avocado and spicy mayonnaise and let the good times roll.
