3 battle parks to check out in the UAE

Gather the gang for a competitive day out

Action Paintball, Dubai

Aimed at everyone over ten, Action Paintball at Action Park has various zones, both indoors and outdoors, and can accommodate up to 60 players at any one time.

Armed with heavy guns that shoot marble-sized pellets of paint at the opposing team, players can bring out their inner soldier while tackling a range of obstacles and scenarios.

Fancy yourself as a bit of a fitness warrior? Each player is also given a health tracker, which will display their heart rate and how many calories they have burned during the game. Let the competition begin.

Those less willing to get splattered with paint can take part in some target practice (the bullets are only going one way so a lot less messy) or hop aboard the converted, open-top London-style bus that serves up refreshing drinks and snacks as they watch all the high-adrenalin action unfold below them on the battlefield.

Action Park is located at The Last Exit, Mad X, Abu Dhabi-bound and offers a whole load of other high-octane sports including a smash room and go-karting track.

This really does give a whole new meaning to the term art attack.
From Dhs99 (per 100 paintballs). Sun-Wed, 11am-11pm; Thu-Sat, 11am-1am. The Last Exit, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, actionpark.ae (04 235 8893).

Battle Park, Ajman

This brand-new entertainment park has only just opened in Ajman and we can’t wait to check it out.

Battle Park is a 5,700 sq m entertainment zone in Ajman’s Al Zorah area where families can get stuck into some serious gaming and release their inner soldier.

Take on the kiddos in a range of brilliant combat games including paintball.

As well as paintball, the awesome gaming zone has two fully-immersive new games developed by Battle Park that little warriors can get stuck into.

X-Battle is a speed shooting game, while I-Battle provides gamers with a live-shooting experience complete with all the sounds and noises to make it more believable.

Battle Park CEO, Ziad El Kassir, said: “Battle Park offers a unique experience for visitors of all ages, providing family members and friends the opportunity to have fun time with our shooting games. The I-Battle specifically is being well received by girls where they can show their battle skills as a team in this video game that provides a real and exciting experience to all.”

Battle Park, Dubai

Fancy yourself as a bit of a GI Joe or GI Jane? You can release your inner soldier at Battle Park in Dubai’s Town Square.

Battle Park is combat gaming aimed at kids over seven, although we can see a few mums and dads wanting to get in on the action as it would be a great way of releasing some of that built-up tension.

As well as paintball, the new gaming zone has a fully-immersive online gaming I-Battle experience that lets little warriors get stuck in without the need for a harness of any protective clothing at all.

All the kiddos need is a gun (there is a super-lightweight option for the littlest fighters) and they’re good to go.
Kids will be asked to complete a variety of missions that will test their sharp-shooting skills, tactics and of course, team work. And they will be given real-time feedback so they can learn on the job.

Prices start from Dhs65 for Town Square Dubai residents and Dhs75 for everyone else for I-Battle, while there are various paintball packages available starting from Dhs85 per game per person.

Roll out on the double.
