Cricket fans in the UAE you better strap on your pads and put on your helmets because we are going to deliver you some exciting news.

The remaining fixtures of the delayed 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) have now been pencilled in on the calendar with the 31 matches to be played over a 27-day period in the UAE.

Announced by The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the first ball will be bowled on Sunday September 19 as the Chennai Super Kings clash with Mumbai Indians at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

The jam-packed schedule will see 13 games played in Dubai including the final on Friday October 15, 10 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium and eight at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

There will be also the exciting prospect of seven double headers, meaning fans could potentially see 80 overs of thrilling sixes and wickets in one day.

The competition is taking place in the UAE for the second consecutive year after The BCCI decided not to complete the tournament in India due to the monsoon season during the months of September and October this year, having previously been postponed in May due to COVID-19.
