Dreaming of travelling to the UK?
As of today (Sunday August 8) Etihad Airways is launching daily flights to London and Manchester. Flights to London will be departing three times daily, and flights to Manchester will be departing once daily, creating plenty of convenient opportunities to travel.
This move follows the UAE being removed from the UK’s red travel list and added to the amber list. For more on that, click here.
Arrivals in the UK from any emirate will no longer need to complete a mandatory quarantine in a government-approved hotel, and can instead quarantine for ten days at home, at a friend’s, or in a hotel of your choosing.

If you are travelling to the UK from the UAE, you will also need to do a PCR test 72 hours before travelling to the UK, and an additional test needs to be taken on or before day two, and another on day eight.
If you are fully vaccinated with a vaccine administered in the UK, US, or Europe, you will be exempt from quarantine as well as the day eight test.
All 28 weekly services between Abu Dhabi and the UK will be operated using the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Head to the Etihad website, or your travel website of choice, to book. The airline has implemented an extensive santitisation and wellness programme including deep-cleaning of the aircraft and cabin, health screening, and staff training. You will also be required to wear a mask throughout your flight.
The schedule of flights from the UAE to London and Manchester are subject to change, but as of today there will be three flights to London Heathrow daily and one flight to Manchester daily.
