Dubai issuing tourist visas for passengers with passports from India, Pakistan and more

As long as you’ve not been in those countries in the last 14 days

If you have a passport from India, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka or Uganda, you can now enter Dubai with a tourist visa as long as you have not entered or stayed in those countries for the last 14 days, authorities have announced.

Otherwise, if you are a UAE resident or visitor travelling to Dubai from India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Uganda you will need to meet a number of conditions to be allowed in.

Passengers will need GDFRA approval to return to Dubai, will require a printed copy of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result in English or Arabic taken no longer than 48 hours prior to your departure, and must take a rapid PCR test at the airport six hours before departure.

An additional PCR test will also need to be completed on arrival in Dubai.

There are additional requirements for those travelling to Abu Dhabi. Passengers will only be permitted entry if they are a fully vaccinated resident of the UAE who has received both doses of the vaccine in the UAE no less than 14 days before travel, or medical personnel, those working in education, or students studying in the UAE.

Exemptions are also being made for those travelling for medical purposes, federal government agency workers, diplomats, UAE nationals, and golden or silver visa holders will also be able to return.

In order to travel you will need ICA approval, which includes submission of a vaccination certificate, a negative PCR test taken a maximum of 48 hours before the first flight departure time, a rapid PCR test taken within six hours of boarding at an airport facility, plus a PCR test on arrival in the UAE.

If you’re travelling to Abu Dhabi you will also be required to quarantine for ten days and wear a medically approved wristband for the duration of your quarantine. You will also need to take a PCR test on arrival and on day nine.
