If you’re stopping off at Dubai International Airport, you’re guaranteed to see crowds of travellers from all corners of the globe at any given time.
Dubai International Airport is a major connection point for long-haul international flights to Europe, Asia, North America and Oceania so it’s no wonder it consistently ranks as one of the busiest airports in the world.
And OAG, the world’s leading provider of digital flight information, intelligence and analytics for airports and airlines, has revealed its list of the top ten busiest airports in the world – and unsurprisingly Dubai has made the list.

Amsterdam (AMS) moved into first place as the busiest international airport meaning Dubai (DXB) came in at second place while Doha International Airport also ranked in the top ten at sixth place.
Calculated using international airline capacity, the rankings are based on scheduled capacity in the current month and compared to the equivalent month in 2019 (pre-pandemic) and the top busiest international airports are calculated using international seats and international frequency only.
Due to people jetting off to Europe this summer for a cool getaway, eight European (including Turkey) airports made it into the top ten.

2. Dubai International Airport
3. Frankfurt Airport
4. Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
5. Istanbul Airport
6. Doha International Airport
7. London Heathrow Airport
8. Madrid-Barajas Airport
9. Palma de Mallorca Airport
10. Antalya Airport
