Al Hosn green pass will not be required to access SEHA facilities

SEHA has revoked its earlier announcement until further review

Looking to get a PCR test, vaccine or booster in Abu Dhabi? There’s a new measure coming into effect for accessing SEHA facilities.

If you are not fully vaccinated and don’t have green pass status on your Al Hosn app, listen up.

Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) has announced that patients and visitors above the age of 16 will require the green pass on Al Hosn application to access its healthcare facilities and centres. This rule will come into effect on Tuesday September 7.

The rule does not apply for visits to emergency departments or drive-through testing facilities, so you will still be able to get a PCR test or vaccine from a SEHA drive-through centre without green pass status.

This announcement follows the latest directive from the Abu Dhabi Emergency Crisis and Disasters Committee approving the use of the green pass on Al Hosn app.

This news follows the announcement that those with Sinopharm vaccines will need to receive a booster vaccine by Monday September 20 to maintain vaccination status. Click here for more information about the booster.

Residents and citizens are considered fully vaccinated if they have received two doses of the Sinopharm vaccine, however if the second dose was not administered within the past six months, they will need to have a third shot in order to maintain vaccinated status on the Al Hosn app. You can receive either a Sinopharm or Pfizer booster.

Once you are fully vaccinated, the green status will appear on the app as long as you take a PCR test every 30 days.

Only people with green status on the Al Hosn app are allowed to enter public spaces in Abu Dhabi including gyms, sporting activities, resorts, museums, cultural centres and theme parks public and private schools and children’s nurseries.
