Let’s be frank, the first Ghost Rider film from 2007 was really a poor, incoherent mash-up of redemptive, back-from-the-dead nonsense and gaudy cartoon violence. But, under the directorial hands of Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor – the guys behind such extreme gonzo efforts as Gamer and Crank – this sequel looks set to be an altogether different beast. Workaholic leading man Nic Cage returns as Johnny Blaze (aka Ghost Rider), the stunt rider who has the ability to transform into a flaming-skulled biker, and this time his task is to foil the plans of the devil (Ciarán Hinds), who is intending to turn into human form and take over the world.
