Theme park expected to open despite mourning period for Ras Al Khaimah ruler’s death

Ferrari World’s official opening is expected to go ahead as scheduled tonight, a source close to the theme park told Arabian Business.

There have been no official changes to the scheduled opening of the Abu Dhabi theme park,despite the announcement of a formal mourning period for His Highness Sheikh Saqr Al Qasimi, the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, who died today.

Ferrari World is expecting up to 10,000 people on its first day of opening.

All seven emirates have declared an official mourning period but most business events, conferences and exhibitions are continuing without any major change in schedule.
