Hop around the world: Stills at Crowne Plaza Yas Island is hosting a journey around the world with 25 variations of hops in one night. Sample a selection from America, Europe and Asia in the city’s longest bar – and why not enjoy a meal in the beautiful courtyard before it gets too hot to enjoy the outdoors?

Get wet: Al Mirfa public beach will be packed today as it’s the penultimate day of the Al Gharbia Water Sports Festival. As well as watersports lessons and shows, there will be circus acts (such as fire-breathers), food and drinks stalls, and kids’ games.

Watch a swimming race: Anyone can watch Swim Fest, a day of backstroke and breaststroke races, relays, treasure hunts, water polo and aquatic games. There will be a barbecue and live band, too.
