AC/DC tribute, free Oscar-winners, sand dancing and more Dhabi fun

Thursday 2

See an Oscar-winner for free: A stylish, cutting dig at consumerism, Logorama picked up Best Animated Short Film at last year’s Academy Awards. You can see it for free tonight – along with a host of similarly celebrated shorts – as part of a mini film festival organised by the French Alliance.

See a shiny proof of some soccer success: As you may well have heard, Manchester City are the proud winners of this year’s FA Cup, with a 1-0 victory over Stoke at London’s Wembley Stadium. Salute Aussie rock’s finest: Tribute specialists White Rabbit turn their attention to the hard-rocking works of AC/DC tonight, strapping on schoolboy shorts and bashing out the likes of ‘Back in Black’ and ‘It’s a Long Way to the Top’. Expect a rowdy crowd, plenty of rock horns and ringing ears in the morning.
