Listen to a DJ: Looking for a change of scenery from the pub scene? Head out to the Monte Carlo Beach Club at Saadiyat Island to listen to Audio Tonic’s DJ’s Vas Floyd and JC, two of Audio Tonic’s deeper disco edged residents. Enjoy a night of weekend warm up house music.

Taste some truffles: Don’t miss Jones the Grocer’s celebration of all things truffle, as they introduce a selection of mouthwatering truffle dishes to their menu. Watch some short films: The world’s largest short film festival starts today in Abu Dhabi; time to see what Middle Eastern filmmakers are made of. Part of this year’s Yasalam celebrations, Tropfest Arabia is an expansion of one of Australia’s most prestigious short film festivals.

Learn to play AFL: Australian AFL team, The Carlton Football Club is visiting Abu Dhabi to raise awareness about AFL. The team are hosting a free Kids Auskick training and information session today from 10am-noon. Kids will have the opportunity to learn skills as well as meet the players and get autographs.

Enjoy some art: The Fairmont Bab Al Bahr is hosting an exhibition by artists, Emily Gordon, Julia Ibbini and Jennifer Simon. It’s called Right Here Right Now, and it’s about life and living in Abu Dhabi.
