Good news for those with special needs and their families in Dubai. The capital’s Emirate’s Foundation has announced it is to increase funding across the UAE.
New grants will be handed out to organizations who submit requests for funding to improve education, training and facilities for individuals with special needs – including the hearing impaired, autism and those with Down’s syndrome.
Applicants were asked last summer to submit their proposals for individual grants worth a maximum of Dhs500,000.
The foundation is backing a range of schemes, from awareness-raising workshops to teacher training and specialist staff salaries.
