flydubai announces 50% fares cut until Dec 15

Low cost airline flydubai on Tuesday announced it was cutting its fare by up to 50 percent off on all routes for a limited period.

From midday on Tuesday, passengers will be able to book one way fares to and from Dubai at half price including all taxes and one piece of hand baggage.

The price of flights transferring through Dubai has also been reduced by 20 percent for the duration of the sale which runs until December 15, the company said in a statement.

The sale means that one-way flights from Dubai can be purchased for as low as AED100 to Doha and AED125 only to Beirut, Amman and Bahrain.

The carrier added that 50 percent discounts were also available on flights to Djibouti, Khartoum, Baku, Aleppo, Damascus and Kathmandu.

Bookings must be made before 11.59pm on December 15 for travel between January 7 and March 27, 2010.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai said: “The flydubai sale is an important part of our business strategy and will continue to be a regular feature. Our previous two sales have generated a huge amount of excitement and interest and we expect the same from this one.”
