Abu Dhabi looks unrecognisable in new Mission Impossible trailer

The UAE capital looks like we’ve never seen it before

Film fans in Abu Dhabi are waiting patiently to catch a glimpse of the city in upcoming summer blockbuster Mission Impossible: Fallout.

Parts of the Tom Cruise thriller were shot in the UAE capital, including a spectacular skydive above the desert.

But it looks like we’ll have to look extra hard to recognise Abu Dhabi on our screens as a new clip shows computer animation boffins have altered the footage almost beyond recognition.

The stunning stunt appears in the film taking place above green fields and lush waterways, rather than the famous sand dunes of the UAE.

The capital might yet make a more prominent appearance in the film, but the trailer below indicates we should probably not expect to see the Abu Dhabi we all know and recognise.

The new clip shows Cruise and his co-stars talk up the film amidst the thrilling action shots we’ve come to expect from the hit franchise.

We won’t have to wait too long to catch the movie in full, however.

Mission Impossible: Fallout hits UAE cinemas on July 27.
