Abu Dhabi facials – five to try

From relaxation to sun damage repair, we’ve got you covered

If the Abu Dhabi heat is getting too much for you, wo why not take the opportunity to pamper yourself. Whether you want to relax or smooth out those fine lines with and anti-ageing treatment, we’ve picked five facials to try this summer.

Best for relaxation…
Three new organic Living Nature facials were launched recently at the Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi. Packed full with wonderful smelling botanical extracts from New Zealand, as well as healing super-ingredients like manuka honey, these treatments leave you feeling floaty light and naturally glowing, especially after the hot stone facial massage. Packages include the Parakore Kiri for balancing your skin (Dhs200 for 30 mins, Dhs 350 for 60 mins), the Awa Aroha youth boosting facial (Dhs200 for 30 mins, Dhs350 for 60 mins) and the Tangata Ataahua, especially for men (Dhs200 for 30 mins, Dhs350 for 60 mins).
Enjoy a free 30 min massage with a 60 min facial, valid until June 30. Dhs200-350. Open daily 10am-11pm. Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Street (02 616 6166).

Best for lift…
Dhalia Spa at the Four Season is the only place offering Biologique Recherche in Abu Dhabi, launching the brand there last month. There are no off-the-peg treatments, facialists receive a month of rigorous Biologique Recherche training so they can treat, repair and restore the skin’s beauty. Each facial is personalised following an instant skin analysis, and the skin is cared for based on its needs at that moment, rather than through the general concept of “skin type”. The three-stage treatment is accompanied by a lifting massage carried out one half of the face at a time, and the effects are immediately impressive. Customised facials will be available in 60- and 80-minute appointments, and the spa stocks the full range of the brand’s products, including legendary exfoliating toner P50.
Prices vary. Open daily 9am-9pm, Ramadan 10am-10pm. For more information and bookings call 02 333 2500 or email spa.abudhabi@fourseasons.com.

Best for spotting problems…
The Espa bespoke facial at the Iridium Spa at the St Regis Saadiyat Island uses a UV SkinVision lamp to expose skin problems, such as sun damage and dehydration. The 90-minute facial is then specifically tailored to your needs, including cleansing, steam and treatment specific massage, mask and intensive serum. Book before the end of June and receive a Dhs100 voucher towards your next spa appointment, including a complementary lift & firm eye treatment.

Best for ageing skin…
Eden Spa’s Elemis quartz facial is clinically proven to reduce the number of wrinkles and improve the skin’s firmness after just one treatment. This 75-minute anti-aging face and eye treatment helps to protect against the signs of ageing, which is especially important for those who’ve been getting a bit too much sun. It reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and recontours the eye, with a lifting massage to help you feel extra beautiful.
