Spotify Arabia launches in Abu Dhabi at long last

The music streaming service is now available in the Middle East

Today is a very happy day for all music fans.

Spotify, the most popular music streaming platform in the world, is now available in Abu Dhabi and across the Middle East.

The service, which contains a catalogue of more than 40 million songs and three billion playlists, is offering residents of the capital a free ad-supported package.

The playlists include international music and also collections of Middle Eastern tracks such as Today’s Top Arabic Hits, Oriental Chill Vibes, and Arabic EDM.

Spotify Free also includes a personalised playlist service, designed to help you discover new music and artists, based on your musical tastes and listening patterns.

Or, if you don’t want the hassle of having to listen to adverts between tracks, you can upgrade to Spotify Premium for Dhs19.99 per month, which is considerably cheaper than in the UK, where it costs the equivalent of Dhs50 per month.

In addition to the features of Spotify free, Premium users also have the added advantage of being able to download music to their computer, phone and tablet, and listen to music offline.

Spotify Premium also means you can use Spotify Connect to play your music through a connected speaker, TV or car radio.
