It’s safe to say Ryan Reynolds has been causing quite a stir in Abu Dhabi this week.
The Hollywood star is in town to shoot new Netflix show 6 Underground and fans have been desperate to catch a glimpse of him.
Of course, he’s been hard at work and probably hasn’t had time to wander around Yas Mall or cycle down the Corniche.
But we do know exactly where in the capital he has been filming.
Residents of the City of Lights area on Reem Island were warned to expect disruption as filming, led by movie icon Michael Bay, takes place.
And while many people have tried and failed to get a snap or even a selfie with Deadpool star Ryan, a few hardy souls have succeeded.
Just shouted “You’re a legend Ryan!” at @VancityReynolds and he actually replied! Can’t believe I actually got this close to my favourite actor 2 blocks from my apartment. #CloudNine #SixUnderground #AbuDhabi pic.twitter.com/eMJpxUDQy6

Twitter user Daniel O’ Shaughnessy, @Doshtoevsky, managed to get a photo of the Canadian actor in the City of Lights last night (Wednesday).
Filming in the area is reportedly due to finish today, with shooting also scheduled to take place in the Liwa desert, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.
Ryan hasn’t been in the city long but he’s already loving it.
He said: “Shooting in Abu Dhabi is going to be one of the highlights of this production, although you’ll have to wait until the movie hits Netflix to find out why.
“We’ve only been here a few days so far, but the welcome from everyone has been amazing and I can’t wait to explore Abu Dhabi more.”
