New performing arts festival comes to Louvre Abu Dhabi

The Rain of Light Festival is launching at the museum this December

A visit to the Louvre Abu Dhabi is always a joy, but this December it will be even more exciting.

The Rain of Light Festival will be held from December 11 to 15 at the Saadiyat Island museum.

Featuring traditional dance and music, dance battles and street art performances, the annual performing arts festival has been created to mark the second cultural season of the museum, A World of Exchanges, and also celebrate the architectural beauty of Louvre Abu Dhabi.

The programme features a mix of free and ticketed performances.

The line up includes the Royal Ballet of Cambodia, juggler and magician Etienne Saglio, singer Hindi Zahra, dancers from the Medhat Fawzy Centre and a visual display from innovator Johann Le Guillerm.

Ticketed performances are Dhs100 per person, with a 20 percent discount for Art Club Members, UAE military, visitors aged between five to 22 and UAE teachers.

Tickets for all events are available from www.louvreabudhabi.ae or from the Louvre’s ticketing desk.
