Too much internet for Abu Dhabi kids

Survey shows city children are not studying enough

A study conducted recently by the Abu Dhabi Education Council found that the national average time that kids spend on studying is staggeringly low. Out of 50,000 parents surveyed, most kids were found to study for less than two hours a night, while the national average is just 30 minutes a day. The reason? Apparently these children are spending most of their time after school on their smartphones and hooked on social media. A spokesperson from ADEC urged parents to enforce tighter restrictions with how much time their kids were allowed to spend online, for
non-educational purposes.
