Nearly all of the construction works that had stalled on Reem Island are back on track again. Development had been interrupted due to the global financial downturn, however recovery has put many projects back on track. The island’s three master developers; Sorouh, Reem Investments and Tamouh, have declared many works will be completed in 2013. Sorouh announced that the Gate Towers with 3,500 apartments will be ready late next year, Reem Investments reported progress on its 50 million square feet Najmat project and Tamouh declared that eight of 13 buildings in its City of Lights will be done in 2013, with the rest following in 2014.
