Watch fireworks from Lulu Island
On Saturday December 1 from 5pm onwards there’ll be boat shuttles leaving from Abu Dhabi Marina Al Youkhout (the last one leaves at 8.30pm) to Lulu Island. Once there you can enjoy a BBQ dinner, water and soft drinks, bonfire, music, games, entertainment and, of course, fireworks to top it all off. Adults pay Dhs200 and children (under 12) Dhs85. If you wish to camp overnight and be picked up the following
day it’ll be an extra Dhs50.

Join in the Corniche parade
Corniche Road will be transformed into a carnival with flag-waving, painted faces, music and cars dressed up in silly string, paint, foam, portraits of influential UAE figures etc.
December 1, motorbikes 2pm-5pm, vehicles 5pm-1am (timings TBC).

Go see the UAE National Symphony
UAENSO’s National Day Gala Concert is a combined festival of arts with Dvorak’s Carnival Overture, Riverdance arrangement created for UAENSO. Special guest Emirati vocal artist Balqees Al Fathi and Scottish Operatic ’The Peoples Tenor’ John Craig Innes perform A Tribute to the 41st UAE National Day. The finalé promises to be an exciting climax to UAENSO’s highly successful Inaugural Concert Season.

Eat at a 41 dish BBQ
Head to the Abu Dhabi Golf Club and celebrate 41 years of the UAE by feasting on a 41 dish BBQ and buffet on the Falcon Terrace. 6:30pm Dhs120 per person.

Celebrate with room service
Many hotels around the city have incredible National Day deals. Book Jumeirah at Etihad Towers and pay just Dhs775 for a Deluxe room, for a minimum of two nights’ stay or more, or book for a single night for Dhs975. This offer is only available to UAE residents, and you need to quote JADUAE while making your reservation. At the Beach Rotana Hotel, you can upgrade your room for Dhs41, although bookings must be made in advance.
