Residents in the capital can now arrange payment of their traffic fines in easy-to-afford instalments as part of a new payment plan. Drivers must have at least two fines worth a minimum of Dh2,000 to use the option and are advised to take advantage of the offer within the next few months. Traffic authorities say they hope the move will help those who have been unable to renew their expired car registration because they cannot afford to pay their outstanding fines.
