Motorists should be wary when heading out in the next few days, because weather forecasts have promised difficult conditions. With temperatures dropping to as low as 14°C, weather forecasters have predicted pockets of fog to appear within the city, as well as on the highways to Al Ain and Dubai. Representatives from the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology in Abu Dhabi have warned that visibility might drop to under 100 metres. There will also be stronger winds in the days ahead, meaning that drivers might also face dusty conditions. As the weather in the region is shifting from summer to winter, a weak low surface pressure is coming into contact with a ridge of high pressure, causing the erratic conditions on the streets.
