The recently published Abu Dhabi Economic Report of 2012 is a positive indicator that the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 is ever closer to fruition. The report, published by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, has shown a steady increase in the industrial sector, rising by over 20 percent since 2010. Economic diversification is vital for the future economic viability of Abu Dhabi, which had previously relied mostly on the oil and gas sector.
